About us

ManuFUTURE is a European Technology Platform (ETP) established in 2003 as “an industry-led stakeholder forum recognized by the European Commission as a key actor in driving innovation, knowledge transfer, and European competitiveness”.

"The mission of ManuFUTURE is to propose, develop, and implement a strategy based on Research and Innovation, capable of speeding up the rate of industrial transformation to high-added-value products, processes, and services, securing high-skills employment and winning a major share of the global manufacturing output in the knowledge-driven economy.”

The sub-platform Biointelligent Manufacturing focuses on the biological transformation of industrial manufacturing - the convergence of biology, technology, and information technology. Herein, we see a highly disruptive innovation potential for emerging technologies. We aim to develop innovative research strategies by bringing together currently nearly 100 relevant stakeholders from 16 countries.
